I've begun this lesson on the 6th Chakra with one of my favaorite poems. I believe that it reflects the message of the 6th Chakra.. that there is a key that unlocks the door to knowing who and whose you really are.
Today you will use the Sacred Oil 'Tehuti', named after the Ancient Egyptian deity of wisdom and knowledge. Tehuti balances the 3rd Eye thereby developing Intuition which is a by product of wisdom and knowledge.
I'm often asked how and when I knew that I had intuitive gifts. As a child my psychic abilities were not encouraged. In fact, my mother was not particularly comfortable with this gift. Studying yoga however was a blessing for me because I entered a world where my intuitive ability was not only considered natural, but was also encouraged.
Through my studies, I've learned that we all have intuitive gifts...some more developed than others. However, we can all develop our Intuition. The ancient Egyptians taught that everything is energy. When we see to the 'other side' through the 3rd Eye, we are seeing at a faster vibration of energy. The 6th Chakra can also be enhanced by the yoga practices of Pratyahara (withdrawing the senses), Dharana (concentration) and Dhyiana (meditation) assist in developing your intuition.
Our Nefer Atum 'Tehuti' Sacred Oil in balancing this Chakra, allows you to see beyond what appears to be. As you apply your Sacred Oil and speak the Sacred Affirmation, know that Tehuti is helping you to develop your Intuition.
